Our Directors
Daniel & Karen Cummins are a husband and wife duo who have been doing music together since 2005. Daniel received his Bachelor’s degree in Choral Education from Liberty University and has been a voice and piano teacher since 2007. He also is the former director of the Together One Voice youth choir in Cary, NC. Karen graduated from Liberty University as well. Her major was focused on Early Childhood Development and she completed a Vocal Performance minor. She has been teaching voice lessons since 2007.
Together, Daniel & Karen serve in the music ministry of Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley. They participate in leading Kid’s Ministry worship and are member’s of the main service praise team. Daniel also leads the Compass Bible Worship Choir and Karen leads the Women’s Ministry Worship Band.
Hannah is an experienced pianist, vocalist, and educator with a passion for music. She has been classically trained in piano and music theory. Over the years, she has accompanied youth choirs and vocal ensembles. She has been sharing her love of music with others for over two decades, both on the worship team at her local church and as a private piano teacher. Hannah is a mom of five and is excited to continue inspiring young musicians in the Treasured Voices Rubies choir!
Rubies, Jades, & Sapphires
Treasured Voices is made up of three choirs. The Rubies are the 4 years - Kindergarten choir, led by Hannah. The Jades are the 1st - 3rd grade choir, led by Karen. The Sapphires are the 4th grade - high school choir, led by Daniel. Treasured Voices Youth Choirs aim to provide exceptional music education and performance opportunities for homeschool and charter school students in the Treasure Valley, fostering a love for music in a supportive community. We welcome all students, ensuring that every child has access to enriching group musical experiences that nurture their creativity and personal growth. Students will learn critical musical skills such as sight-singing, music theory, music history, learning harmony, and performance techniques and etiquette. The choir is open to all students and we are compliant with Braintree Academy and Overture Learning policies to allow families to be reimbursed for the registration and participation fees.
Schedule
Treasured Voices will meet every Monday following the West Ada County school calendar. Please see the calendar here for breaks, holidays, and special events. The Spring 2025 semester starts January 13.
Rubies & Jades will meet from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Sapphires will meet from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Location
Treasured Voices rehearsal location is Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley. The address is 6151 N Discovery Way, Boise, ID 83713.
Cost
The cost for the Spring 2025 semester is $150 per student for Rubies and $185 per student for Jades and Sapphires. After registering, a deposit of $75 per student is due. The balance will be due by March 1. This fee covers our resources, including printing music and other supplies, our accompanist fees, and the director fees. Our primary method for collecting these payments is through Venmo. If you do not use Venmo and wish to use another payment method, please contact us below. Otherwise, click the Pay Now button to be redirected to Venmo’s website. Our Venmo ID is @TreasuredVoices. Receipts will be issued for reimbursement needs.
