Treasured Voices is a community youth choir based in the Treasure Valley, Idaho.
Registration is open for the Fall 2024 semester.
Our Directors
Daniel & Karen Cummins are a husband and wife duo who have been doing music together since 2005. Daniel received his Bachelor’s degree in Choral Education from Liberty University and has been a voice and piano teacher since 2007. He also is the former director of the Together One Voice youth choir in Cary, NC. Karen graduated from Liberty University as well. Her major was focused on Early Childhood Development and she completed a Vocal Performance minor. She has been teaching voice lessons since 2007.
Together, Daniel & Karen serve in the music ministry of Compass Bible Church Treasure Valley. They participate in leading Kid’s Ministry worship and are member’s of the main service praise team. Daniel also leads the Compass Bible Worship Choir and Karen leads the Women’s Ministry Worship Band.
Jades & Sapphires
Treasured Voices is made up of two choirs. The Junior Jades is the 1st - 3rd grade choir, led by Karen. The Senior Sapphires is the 4th grade - high school choir, led by Daniel. Our mission is to provide an educational community choir to give children of all ages an opportunity to experience the joys of group singing while also learning critical musical skills such as sight-singing, music theory, music history, learning harmony, and performance techniques and etiquette. The choir is open to all students and we are compliant with Tech Trep Academy and Idaho Home Learning Academy policies to allow families to be reimbursed for the registration and participation fees.
Schedule
Treasured Voices will meet every Monday from August 19, 2024 through December 16, 2024. We are following the West Ada County school calendar. Please see the calendar here for breaks, holidays, and special events.
Jades will meet from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Sapphires will meet from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Location
Treasured Voices rehearsal location is Friendship Celebration Lutheran Church, rooms 111 and 112. They are located at 765 E. Chinden Blvd, in Meridian, ID.
Cost
The cost for the Fall 2024 semester is $185 per student. After registering, a deposit of $75 per student is due. The balance will be due by October 1. This fee covers our resources, including printing music and other supplies, our accompanist fees, and the director fees. Our primary method for collecting these payments is through Venmo. If you do not use Venmo and wish to use another payment method, please contact us below. Otherwise, click the Pay Now button to be redirected to Venmo’s website. Our Venmo ID is @TreasuredVoices. Receipts will be issued for reimbursement needs.
